How repayment works

Pay asyou sell

Repayments are a fixed percentage of your sales taken at source until the advance plus a one-time fixed fee is fully repaid.

Typical repayment rate 10%–30%.

Minimum monthlysafeguard

To make sure the agreement completes on time, there is a minimum monthly payment of one-twelfth (1/12) of the total repayment, including the fixed fee, if sales are too low in a month.

No interest.No penalties.

There is no interest and no early repayment fee. Paying early simply ends the agreement.

Common questions

We focus on revenue and affordability, not just profit. We assess trading data, open banking information and existing commitments to ensure the facility is sustainable.

From £10,000 up to £200,000 for companies, subject to affordability and policy. In exceptional cases, established and creditworthy businesses may qualify for up to £2 million, subject to affordability and underwriting.

Repayments come straight out of your sales. An agreed percentage of each card settlement, typically between 10% and 30%, is split at source and sent to SAPI before the rest reaches your bank account. You do not set up transfers or remember payment dates. If your business is funded through a direct-debit arrangement instead of card settlements, a fixed weekly or monthly amount is collected by Direct Debit on the dates agreed in your contract.

There is no interest. You agree a single fixed fee upfront, so the total you repay is known on day one and never changes. There is no early repayment fee either: if your sales are strong and the advance is repaid sooner than estimated, the agreement simply ends. You pay the same total whether it takes six months or twelve.

Yes. At least one director must give a personal guarantee, and where a business has several owners we may ask for more than one. The guarantor must live in the same country as the company. The guarantee is a standard condition for every advance we make and is signed electronically alongside the agreement.

Most applications need nothing to be uploaded. We verify your company through Companies House, read your trading data from your payment provider or through open banking, and check the identity of your directors online. Have to hand your company name, the directors’ details, your business bank account details and, if you process cards through a partner, your merchant ID. We will only ask for bank statements or accounts if the automated checks need a second look.

No. We look at how your business trades today, not only at its past. Strong, consistent card revenue can outweigh an older credit issue. Serious recent events such as an active insolvency, a County Court judgment that is still unpaid or an undischarged bankruptcy for a guarantor will usually mean we cannot fund you right now. Checking your eligibility uses a soft search and does not affect your credit score.

Your repayments slow down with them, because they are a percentage of what you actually take. There is a minimum monthly payment of one-twelfth of the total repayment, including the fixed fee, so the agreement still completes within a sensible time; in a month where your sales-based repayments fall short of that amount, the difference is collected to make up the minimum. If you expect a sustained drop in trading, tell us early: our servicing team can talk through options before a shortfall becomes a problem.

Log in to your SAPI account or ask your account manager. Renewal eligibility usually opens once a meaningful part of your current advance has been repaid and your trading has stayed consistent; many customers renew at that point for a new round of funding. You can also run the five-minute eligibility check again at any time with no effect on your credit score.

Once you accept your offer, we verify the identity of the guarantor, set up the repayment split with your payment provider or your Direct Debit mandate, and send the agreement for electronic signature. When everything is signed and verified, funds are sent to your business bank account, normally within 24 hours. From then on, repayments happen automatically from your sales and you can see your balance and progress in your SAPI account.

We check three things. Transactional data, from your partner platform or through open banking, to confirm your income and how stable it is. Credit data on the business and its directors. Your existing commitments, so that repayments remain affordable alongside what you already pay. To qualify, your company must be incorporated in the United Kingdom (or one of the other countries we support), have at least six months of trading history and at least £10,000 of card revenue in the last quarter, and a director must be willing to give a personal guarantee.

The most common reasons are trading history under six months, card revenue below £10,000 in the last quarter, revenue that has been falling or very irregular, a business or guarantor outside the countries we currently cover, or existing commitments that would make a further advance unaffordable. Some of these change quickly: if you were declined on trading history or revenue, it is worth checking again in a few months. If you think we have missed something, contact us and we will take a second look.

If our offer is not the right size or shape for you, tell us. We can sometimes adjust the amount or the repayment percentage within our affordability limits, and we partner with other providers for businesses whose needs sit outside what we fund. There is no obligation to accept an offer, and declining one does not affect your ability to apply again later.

Yes. Repaying early does not count against you; it is a sign of healthy trading and makes a renewal more likely, not less. Once your current agreement has ended, run the eligibility check again or speak to your account manager and we will assess a new advance on your latest trading data.
