Management Trainee, Vietnam-based (Portuguese/Italian/Dutch-speaking)

About the Role

Join our team as a Management Trainee and take an instrumental role in driving the growth of our company. As a key member of our Loan Operations department, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our loan origination platform. You will be responsible for managing loan applications, facilitating loan processing, and providing exceptional support to our loan applicants in English and their native language (Portuguese, Italian, or Dutch). Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and multilingual capabilities will be essential in delivering a seamless loan experience for our clients.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Loan Application Management: Process incoming loan applications. Review application details, validate required documentation, and ensure adherence to SAPI’s loan policies and guidelines.
  • Loan Processing: Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure smooth and timely loan processing. Work closely with underwriters, credit analysts, and compliance officers to assess loan eligibility and mitigate risks.
  • B2B Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer support by communicating with clients, primarily in English and their native language (Portuguese, Italian, or Dutch), regarding loan application status updates, required information, and any additional support they may need throughout the loan process.
  • Data Maintenance: Accurately input and update loan-related information in SAPI’s systems and databases. Ensure data integrity and completeness.
  • Process Design and Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to optimise loan origination processes, streamline operations, and enhance the overall client experience.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate reports related to loan application status, approval rates, and other performance metrics as required by the management.

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a reputable university. A degree in business administration or finance is a plus.
  • Experience working in position(s) with relevant skillsets.
  • Business proficiency in English and one of the following languages: Portuguese, Italian, or Dutch.
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable navigating and using loan origination platforms and other financial software tools. Training will be provided upon joining the company.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry and loan application processing. Willing to work with large volume of paperwork and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both client-facing and internal interactions.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously while maintaining a high level of efficiency and organisation.
  • Customer-Centric: A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support to clients.
  • Adaptability: Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Team Player: Collaborative approach to work, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and cross-functional teams. Passion for learning and growing in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Candidate must be based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

  • Previous experience in loan operations, loan processing, or a related financial services role is highly desirable.
