We’re delighted to have you join us once again for another instalment of the captivating “Life at SAPI” series! It’s with great enthusiasm that we continue to unveil the remarkable journeys of our exceptional team members, each contributing their distinct perspectives and talents to propel our company towards resounding success.

In this edition, we would like to introduce Farrukh Mukhitdinov, our Strategy Manager Intern.

What’s your name and what’s your job title?

My name is Farrukh Mukhitdinov and I am a Strategy Manager Intern.

Where in the world do you work?

I currently work from Oxford, UK

How long have you worked at SAPI?

This is literally my 2nd month at SAPI.

What is a typical day for you in your role? Can you walk us through your daily routine?

Working at SAPI as a Strategy Manager intern provides me with the privilege of experiencing a diverse and ever-changing daily routine. The flexibility and variety of my tasks are what make my work truly enjoyable. One of the fascinating aspects of my role is collaborating with different teams on a wide range of topics.

Recently, I had the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) on an essential project aimed at mitigating the systemic risk associated with our loan portfolio. Specifically, I contributed to the development of time series analysis using Python, which proved instrumental in reducing potential risks. Throughout this project, I had the chance to interact and learn from seasoned industry professionals who have been providing consultation to SAPI on relevant subjects. Their expertise and guidance proved invaluable in enhancing my knowledge and skills.

Following the successful completion of the time series analysis project, I transitioned into assisting the business development team. My current focus involves supporting the preparation of a comprehensive business plan to facilitate our expansion into Lithuania. This venture aims to broaden our reach and establish a presence in a new market, opening up exciting opportunities for growth and success.

In summary, my daily routine at SAPI is marked by its dynamic nature, enabling me to engage with various teams and work on diverse projects. The constant learning and exposure to industry professionals contribute to my personal and professional development, and I am thrilled to be a part of SAPI’s journey towards expansion and innovation.

What makes you proud to work at SAPI? / What makes SAPI a great place to work?

Working at SAPI fills me with pride, thanks to the team’s unwavering winner mentality. The collective mindset of embracing challenges and pushing forward is truly remarkable. Regardless of the obstacles we face, the team remains united and determined. This cohesive spirit at SAPI ensures that no one ever feels alone in their endeavours.

The exceptional support system within the organisation is another aspect that sets SAPI apart. Each team member actively engages in various projects, and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and collaboration. This supportive culture permeates throughout the company, creating an environment where individuals can rely on one another and thrive together.

At SAPI, you can be confident that you will always have a team by your side, ready to lend a helping hand. The collective efforts and mutual support fostered within the organisation contribute to the success of every individual and the company as a whole. It’s a privilege to be part of a workplace that values teamwork, encourages personal growth, and nurtures a sense of togetherness.

What makes SAPI different from anywhere else you’ve worked?

The level of flexibility and team support at SAPI is unparalleled. As an MBA student juggling a demanding schedule encompassing school, work, and family responsibilities (including caring for a 2-year-old), I greatly appreciate the freedom to manage my tasks at convenient times. This flexibility enables me to navigate my commitments effectively. For instance, during this finals week, when my workload has been particularly intense, the team’s support has been truly remarkable. They understand the importance of educational development and help me prioritise accordingly.

A notable example of the team’s commitment to education is evident in a project I have been closely involved in with the CEO, Mai. I was pleasantly surprised by the value they placed on my education. Despite the team having significant and important conference calls, I was actively encouraged not to miss any of my class sessions. Furthermore, the CEO herself has gone above and beyond to ensure my academic pursuits are supported. She provides me with updates on the outcomes of important meetings and informs me of our next action items. In my extensive international experience spanning over six years, including working with Fortune 100 companies in various countries, I have never encountered such a remarkable level of support and care for employees.

The genuine concern and support exhibited by the team at SAPI make it an exceptional work environment. The company’s recognition of the importance of education and their willingness to accommodate my academic commitments reflect their commitment to personal growth and employee well-being. It is truly a privilege to be part of an organisation that values its employees to such a remarkable extent.

What advice would you give a colleague who has just joined your team?

I highly recommend embracing authenticity and fostering open communication with your colleagues at SAPI. Being genuine and transparent in your interactions allows for deeper connections and establishes an environment of trust. It’s essential to remember that your colleagues are there to support you and offer guidance whenever you encounter challenges. This supportive culture is what sets SAPI apart from other organisations.

In addition to benefiting from the support of your colleagues, it’s equally important to reciprocate and contribute to the supportive atmosphere within the team. Actively engaging in providing assistance, encouragement, and guidance to your colleagues demonstrates your commitment to creating a positive and empowering work environment.

By cultivating an authentic and open approach in your interactions and actively supporting your team members, you contribute to the overall success of SAPI. Together, we can foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and mutual support that sets the stage for personal and collective growth.
